Cowley County Conservation District

Our Mission: To promote the establishment of and give support to programs designed to advance the conservation and orderly development of Kansas land, water, and related resources.

Overview:

The Kansas Association of Conservation Districts is a local governmental entity established to promote and implement conservation practices. Your local conservation district plays a crucial role in managing natural resources, such as soil, water, and wildlife habitats, to ensure sustainable land use and environmental health. Conservation districts can provide technical assistance and resources to farmers, landowners, and communities, and help them adopt practices that prevent soil erosion, manage water quality, and enhance biodiversity, and much more! By collaborating with various stakeholders, districts contribute to the preservation of ecosystems, the prevention of natural disasters, and the overall improvement of the state's environmental resilience!
