Ag Stakeholder Feedback Requested by State Agencies
The Kansas Department of Agriculture, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and the Kansas Water Office invite Kansas farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural stakeholders to participate in a special webinar regarding the state’s efforts to develop an implementation program for the Kansas Water Plan on Tuesday August 13 at 9AM
Because state budgets must be completed during the same timeframe that our agricultural producers are engaged in harvest, irrigation, and planting, we are providing additional opportunities for ag stakeholders and producers to learn more about the program development process and provide feedback regarding state investments for our most important water issues.
The webinar will include key takeaways from the 6 regional meetings recently held across the state to understand local water goals and priorities, an avenue to provide feedback on priorities and programs, and information on future engagement events, including the second round of regional meetings in September.
The webinar will be recorded. For additional information on this effort, you can also visit the the Kansas Water Office webpage dedicated to implementation plan development here.
